Cookie: "Choose what is right, not what is easy". Most likely applies to Mace's position in this episode. Overall, this is a theme you often find in good vs. evil fiction, and in Star Wars it permeates the light side vs. dark side of the Force idea, most notably with Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back. One of the Harry Potter movies, I think Goblet of Fire, has Dumbledore almost directly quote it.
Welcome to Malastare, which I'm sure somehow contradicts part of the EU, like the "Emissaries to Malastare" arc in the comic series later known as Republic. I'm okay with Dugs running the planet instead of Gran.
The ARC-170s make their Clone Wars debut!
I'm wondering why we haven't seen more of this EM bomb used against the Separatists. Unless they always create a sinkhole like that. It would be a nice weapon for battles on uninhabited planets, though.
I do love that the bomb makes Anakin's arm malfunction, if only momentarily.
Mace gets the "bad feeling" line for, I think, the first time.
Good morning, Zillo!
And a Wilhelm scream.
Speaking of scream, the Zillo actually has a pretty cool one. Unique.
I wonder if this is what playing Shadow of the Colossus is like.
Mace Windu: The Jedi Order's PETA representative.
It's a major assumption for Mace to believes this is the last Zillo. Just because the Dugs thought them extinct doesn't mean they're right. On the other hand, with no evidence of another creature, it is safer to assume it is until you know for sure it's not.
Not a terrible episode, but I'm not completely sure why it and its arc exist. Except Filoni and co. wanted to have fun paying homage.
Next, go from Godzilla to King Kong in "Zillo Beast Strikes Back!"
