The web comic for this one is “Curfew” where we see how Numa escaped imprisonment by the Separatists.
Fortune cookie: “The costs of war can never be truly accounted for.” Specifically here we see how it affects the Twi’lek civilians and one little girl. But it’s also a theme that runs throughout the show.
You know Waxer and Boil are going to be important because they’re the only two clones not wearing their helmets.
Love the detail of the cannon making the Twi’lek prisoners cover their ears.
I always feel bad for the gunships that get blown to bits midair. It’s a miracle Kenobi survives sometimes.
The only problem with this show is that early on there weren’t enough models to make these battles seem as big as you’d think they would be. It seems like this planet gets conquered and retaken with no more than a few hundred troops on each side.
It’s funny that Obi-Wan is known for his deceptive maneuvers given what Anakin did in the previous episodes.
Numa! Cute little alien CGI kid.
Waxer and Boil do have an entertaining back and forth.
“You know, I have binders if we need them.” Waxer cracks me up.
Not sure I noticed Waxer’s red eyes the first time around.
Troopers keep running into creatures apparently immune to blaster fire. First "Jedi Crash", now this.
Love that zoom in shot on Obi-Wan when the creatures show up.
Obi-Wan’s little mind control trick on the creatures is pretty neat. Not something we see the Force used for too often.
Heh. “Incredible!” “Quiet, rookie.” Cody’s seen it all by now.
I love the DVD cut. “Yep, this is about the worst job in the droid army.” *Obi-Wan destroys his fellow droids and locks him in the animal cage.* “And it just went into overtime.” It’s the Eeyore of the droid army.
Obi-Wan trying to cover Numa’s eyes is a little funny.
Aww, nice way to end the episode.
