This episode marks the halfway point of season one.
The webcomic this time around is "Bait", in which Anakin sets himself up to be captured by Dooku's frigate. The comic ends with Obi-Wan donning the spacesuit he's seen wearing at the beginning of the episode.
Cookie: "The winding path to peace is always a worthy one, regardless of how many turns it takes." Huh. Not completely sure how this one applies to the episode. Maybe referring to the unexpected development of having Dooku a prisoner by pirates and hoping to exploit that to end the war.
Anakin has "gone missing". Not quite what the comic would have us believe. Or as the episode shows us five minutes later.
All right, so the banter at the beginning is a little forced. It can't all be winning dialogue.
"Let's try not to blow up the ship before they get off this time." -Ahsoka. So, they blew up a ship with Anakin and Obi-Wan aboard before? I mean, they were trying with Malevolence, but that took a crash into the moon to finish it off.
Obi-Wan: "I thought you were following Dooku."
Anakin: "I was. I followed him here." Heh.
All right, the banter gets a little better as they crash.
Mr. Hondo Ohnaka. Welcome to the show.
Hondo's crew flies around in a flying saucer. Interesting choice.
A gundark! They do indeed have impressive ears.
Anakin and Obi-Wan spend so much time using the Force to throw rocks at the gundark, I wonder why they don't just use it to lift her.
Wow, the saucer even sounds like the old, warbling flying saucers of yesteryear.
I know some had a problem with Dooku being captured by pirates, but I'd forgotten he'd had his lightsaber pick-pocketed. That would make it tough for even a Sith Lord to survive against 30 armed pirates.
Hopefully Hondo had Dooku out of the room before he took out his lightsaber. Wouldn't want Dooku to Force pull that out of his hand.
They used the Twilight quite a lot in the first season.
Interesting that the Weequay pirates actually speak like many of the typical sea pirates we've seen onscreen.
That's one feisty Jawa.
Next: Sigh. Jar Jar returns in "The Gungan General".
