Cookie: ”You must trust in others or success is impossible.” Nice and generic. Though a lesson that Gascon has been slowly learning this entire arc.
The last time I consumed a Star Wars story where a group boarded a mysteriously silent star destroyer, it was overrun by zombies. Ah, Death Troopers. You were fun. So was Red Harvest, for that matter. And Maul: Lockdown was better than both. What I'm saying is I wouldn't mind more Joe Schreiber Star Wars books.
I'd say these are the most advanced Star Wars holograms we've ever seen, but then I remembered we'd already seen similar in the Obi-wan undercover arc. It makes sense that Dooku would want to keep using Sinrich's holographic matrix for the Separatist cause, especially seeing how it compares to other holographic technology.
“This is not Republic technology.” Did the giant Separatist symbol on the side of the box give it away?
I bet it takes a while for a single buzz droid to search an entire star destroyer.
Maybe not. It finds them pretty fast. Probably figured landing bays are a good first place to look since that's where intruders would need to board and/or escape.
R2 was much faster back in his rocket booster days. Which you would expect. It's just funny to compare that to how slow he moves as everyone is running to escape in TESB.
Now Gascon is getting Ackbar's famous line.
M5-BZ gets a tragic end, lobotomized and later sacrificing itself. And Gascon finally has respect for his droid squad and their fallen comrade. Much of this arc has been about Gascon's growth, something I had forgotten. It's one of the reason we rewatch our favorite shows, isn't it? Appreciate what we may have forgotten and overlooked.
Also, WAC is not nearly as annoying as his first scene indicated he might be. He's actually been a valuable and necessary droid voice throughout much of it. They balanced the kid humor with often astute observations regarding Gascon and his attitude on droids.
Ah, that poor binocular-headed droid. The model survived Ventress' explosive sabotage in "Cloak of Darkness", but this one doesn't make it.
The Gonk droid riding the mouse droid is quite a sight.
QT has rockets??? Why is she just now using them?
C4 also has rockets?
That is one glorious explosion. Quite a visual and audio moment in the series.
How R2 survives that destruction largely intact, I cannot fathom.
The explosion took out one of the smaller Republic vessels. But, sure, Anakin, get crews searching for your droid first. The droid that can be found and fixed pretty much at leisure.
I do wonder how long they looked in that debris before one of the clones spotted him right outside the window.
Next... the horned bros. make a return in “Revival”!
