Cookie: "Understanding is honoring the truth beneath the surface." Makes sense. You really have to know something on a deeper level to truly understand it. Artoo and Threepio will find that figuratively and literally by episode's end.
Here we start back to back episodes featuring our two most famous and favorite droids. It hearkened back to the 80s cartoon show where the pair would go on weekly wacky adventures. Reactions to the episodes were... mixed. I didn't mind them, but we'll see what I feel this time around.
Wolffe, such a serious guy. And one eye.
Gorgeous shot of the ships entering orbit and in the atmosphere.
"Great. It's going to be another one of those planets." Love it when the clones bring in the lampshading humor.
Aleena doesn't make all that much sense to me. They appear to be fairly primitive, especially with their shirtless king, though the garb could be ceremonial. I suppose they could have tech somewhere, just none that's evident.
"Welcome to our disaster. Glad you could come." Heh.
Wolffe does mention a mainframe computer, so they must have one.
Sinker! Welcome back, Wolf Pack man.
Boost is back, too.
Oh, hey, there's a giant satellite dish. And computers in their ancient-looking stone structure. Just an interesting clash of styles. Aliens, I suppose.
Paraphrased Empire line! "Coming here was a bad idea!" "I'm beginning to agree with you."
Poor Threepio. He gets no respect.
Can't blame the clones for wanting to vacate ASAP.
Threepio gets the bad feeling line and promptly falls and slides quite a ways. How again did he lose his arm in ANH? Must have fell off that Tatooine cliffside.
This episodes leans on the fantasy part of space fantasy a little more than usual.
Amazing that the Star Wars civilization never developed a translation device, relying on droids instead.
Artoo using an extinguisher to shoo fairies. So practical.
Star Wars Ents! Rather agitated, too.
Maybe a little more fantasy than usual, but the not-Ents are one of Star Wars' more interesting designs.
Doesn't get more Alice in Wonderland in Star Wars than with Orphney.
It's a river! Right? Answer to the riddle?
Yep. Good work, Threepio. And as usual, Artoo knows everything. There's a reason I was sad in The Force Awakens when Artoo was in low power.
So, only now the air coming from the ground is choking the Aleena? Not when they were praying beside it?
I can't help but wonder why that seal is even there, why it even exists.
Poor droids. Get no respect.
Wow, that Aleena must be itty bitty for Artoo to tower over her.
"No one understands you, anyway." Ouch, Threepio. But true.
Next, wander the galaxy with "Nomad Droids"!
