Pretty self explanatory, eh?

I think they should have a new theme but maybe throw a reprise somewhere in there. Just a few notes at some point in the film.

They should have a new theme, but it should have some throwbacks to the original theme.

You guys are crazy! But seriously, of course you're entitled to your opinions. But here's why I feel differently: 1. The character is so associated with that music in my mind that to hear some other theme just wouldn't feel right. 2. While I like hearing new quality themes, I just don't have much confidence that any composer working in Hollywood today could write a theme as great, and as befitting the character, as Mr. Williams did.

1. The character is so associated with that music in my mind that to hear some other theme just wouldn't feel right. See, that's probably why I'd be more accepting of different music. My first association with Supes onscreen was Lois and Clark and the animated series. It was the same reason a few years ago when Returns came out someone had posted they wouldn't accept a Superman without blue eyes that wasn't a problem for me since neither of those two incarnations did.
