Hello, Long time ago, possibly around 1979-1980, I read a comic (as far as I remember, it was an additional story in a Swamp Thing issue) about a soldier in the Vietnam or Cambodia war. He evacuates a village before it was to be destroyed, and the elders of the village give him a medallion/talisman, telling him that the moon light will show him through the talisman the date he would die, and the talisman will keep him alive until that date, if permanently on him. While being on guard, at night, the light of the moon reveal him his tombstone, with a date of death long in the future. He starts to behave heroic, but is mutilated by a bomb (no arms and legs, no speech, no hearing or sight, only feeling touch). Doctors are amazed that he survived even if he is so severely maimed, and want to take his medallion, which he feels, making him hope that he would die if the medallion is taken. But one doctor tells the other to leave the medallion, that if he still is able to feel, maybe he would be happy. Anybody remembers this story, and where was it published? Thank You!!! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References dc.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:503839Business Promotional Animation
