This limit is two hundred and fifty- exactly five characters, and I have long wondered if the BBCode was included in these characters since it does not really take a place; my current signature counts two hundred and ninety by counting the italic and the embedded URL to the words "my hand" against one hundred and seventy-three without these tags, and as you can see, my signature is displayed correctly, therefore I conclude that no, the BBCode is not taken into account.
Now, I intended today to try a new signature; after making some efforts to reduce it, I arrived at the figures of three hundred and thirty-six characters with tags, two hundred and thirty-nine without. However, this time, the link refuses to activate, but I do not get the error message on the character limitation :? , however I do not understand, the number of characters is certainly more important, but I am still in the same situation as with my current signature with a number of characters that is excessive only because of the tags, right? And when I give my current signature, she passes, so it's not a problem of the forum.
In short, I do not understand, and I would like help, because two hundred and fifty-five characters including the tags, I find it draconian, especially for me who likes to make my writings known by my signatures
